Spring into Fynbos event

Our Spring into Fynbos was a great success, even with a bit of drizzle everyone had smiles on their faces and (by now) plants in their gardens!

A beautiful display of succulents in pots and cut flowers in the retail.

Browsing through the stalls.

Enjoying refreshments.

Wandering around the retail plants

Having a fun pony ride!

Delicious food stalls.

Thank you to all who supported – it was a brilliant day!

Spring Sale, Garden Club walk and salad.

Our Spring into Fynbos event is coming up at the end of this month. on Saturday the 29th of September we will be having a sale on all the plants in the retail as well as delicious food, kids fun and fynbos walks. Sounds like fun, right? It will be, so come celebrate Spring with us and your family!

Images from our previous events:

We had the lovely Sunbird Garden club coming to visit.

We took them on a little fynbos walk, a bit of a Q&A on plants in Simonstown and Fishhoek gardens and had tea and scones at the tea garden.

The veggie garden is thriving after all the late winter rain.

We had a bumper juicy salad crop which we harvested and sold the excess to Scarborough friends

Yum!

Enjoy the Spring weather and pottering around in your gardens this weekend 🙂

Fynbos and Food Fair 2011

Our Annual Fynbos and Food Fair was really enjoyable and successful. The weather was great, lots of people supported, the plants sparkled and the food was delicious!

Pony rides on Patches

Pastries, surfboards and more in the Farmstall.

Fresh produce

People mingling and the band playing.

Facepainting for the kids.

Amazing rose cake on sale

Playground fun!

Stall holder West selling his wares in the shady retail.

Enjoying a chocolate apple in the Farmstall.

A fun fynbos and food filled day! Cant wait till the next one 🙂

Bakes, waves, stones and sales.

When the wintery weather comes around, it means its time to make and bake.

Here are some samples of what we have been up to….

Fruit&cream covered chocolate cheesecake:

And Chocolate cake decorated with chocolate truffles.

Wow and yum. It’s a good thing the winter also brings swell to the ocean otherwise we’d all be as big as houses. Surfs up dude….

Taskmaster took a short break at the secret surf spot above (ask no questions, I’ll tell no lies) and came back raving and refreshed to continue his amazing landscaping with a twinkle in his eye.

We baked some more..

And then visited Scratch Patch Mineral World just over Redhill and down the road from us…..

Giving another meaning to stepping-stones…

What fun!

This winter, instead of having a winter sale event, we have decided to sympathise with the 6 week-long school holidays and are offering everyone 15% off all plants in the retail from the 9th of June till the 13th of July.

So come on out to us over this special offer and we will expertly help you choose some plants. Your garden will be so happy!
